Our History
Our practice was established by Drs. Fred Rosenberg and Stuart Sears in Maple Heights in 1972 with the belief that they could provide the most contemporary preventive, non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment to our patients and, at the same time, deliver these services in a kind and caring environment. Over the years, with the addition of many regenerative and plastic surgical techniques as well as the advent of modern dental implants, the practice of periodontics has changed dramatically. Our current team of doctors and staff still embraces our original philosophy. We believe the patient, general dentist, other medical or dental professional and/or professional staff need to work as a team to ensure long-term ideal dental care. Excellence in treatment and concern for the well-being of our patients continues to be the cornerstone of our practice.
After spending many years in that office, the practice expanded to include Dr. Charlene Krejci in 1986, and in 1987 Drs. Rosenberg, Sears, & Krejci moved their main office to its current location at the Parkway Medical Building in Beachwood, Ohio and changed the name to Western Reserve Periodontics, Inc.
Dr. Sears retired from the practice in 2007 leaving Drs. Rosenberg and Krejci to carry on with the same excellence and dedication to patient care that has always been practiced. In 2011, Dr. Sasha Ross joined the practice as a part-time associate.
In 2015, Dr. Rosenberg retired leaving Dr. Krejci and Dr. Ross to carry on the practice. Dr. Krejci was active in the dental community and collectively serves in the faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, the staff of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and the staff of South Pointe Hospital.
In 2021, Dr. Smith acquired the practice as Dr. Krejci was wanting to retire in 2022 to spend more time with her family. Dr. Smith is working on bringing new advanced technologies to the practice to improve patient care.
Dr. Smith is also very proud of her staff who have been a part of their “office family” for many years. All staff members have been carefully selected and trained in their positions. In keeping with our commitment to excellence and continuing education is required of all employees.
